Frequently asked questions on trade-ins

  • Do you accept all brands of hot tubs/swim spas for trade-in?

    Our highly skilled & experienced team is generally comfortable inspecting, refurbishing, & selling any brand of hot tub or swim spa. In the case the brand is a very uncommon or rare one, we will confirm with our Service & Sales teams that we can indeed potentially refurbish & resell your unit before providing an initial trade-in value estimate & confirming your inspection appointment.  

  • Do you accept spas in poor condition &/or ones that aren't properly functioning?

    In general, yes.  Our highly skilled Service Technicians are able to fix and refurbish tubs and spas at many ages with a variety of issues. 


    In the case where a unit is deemed either unfixable or the cost of refurbishing would exceed the resale value, we are happy to provide a quote for haul away and disposal, & depending on market conditions & your interest in purchasing a new unit, we may also - at the sole discretion of the owner - be able to provide you with free haul away & disposal &/or some store credit as a "thank you" for utilizing our services.  

  • What information do you need from me to estimate my unit's trade-in value?

    We've tried to keep things easy, by providing an information checklist here - which will give us everything needed to provide you an initial trade-in value estimate.  To expedite the process, please gather the necessary information before reaching out to our team.  

  • What is the difference between an initial estimated trade-in value and a final trade-in offer?

    Our initial trade-in value estimate is based solely on customer-provided information and market conditions at the time of the estimate.


    The final trade-in offer takes into consideration the results of our team's 25-point inspection, a first-hand review of the complexity of moving your unit and any potential market condition or other discretionary changes between the initial and final offer.  


    We reserve the right for all offers to be made, modified or withdrawn based on the sole discretion of the owner.

  • How much is the extra store credit if I buy from you?

    The value of the extra store credit varies based on factors like current inventory, size of tub, assumed ease of reselling your unit, if you're looking to upgrade to a larger size, current promotions, etc. 


    On average the credit is in the range of 12-18% of your trade-in value and is good for the length of time outlined in your offer from us.  However, we reserve the right to modify or withdraw any offer at our sole discretion as long as it is within the terms outlined in your offer. 

  • How do you provide me the money from my trade-in?

    We prefer to provide the trade-in value to you through direct deposit in order to maximize security & speed of the transaction as well as minimize cost.  


    In the case direct deposit doesn't work for you, we can discuss other options like money order, check or cash.  However these may incur a nominal fee, additional processing time, &/or require you to accept responsibility for any additional risk factors. 

  • How long does the 25-point inspection take?

    We typically schedule inspection appointments for 90 minutes to ensure that our Service Technicians have ample time to inspect all the elements of the tub and discuss the results with our customer. However, note that it is critical that the hot tub must have been filled & running for at least 24 horus prior to our inspection to ensure the most accurate assessment.  Learn more about our 25-point inspection here.

  • Do I have to be present for the inspection?

    Experience has taught us that it is critical that the customer or a customer-appointed representative is present during our inspection so that any questions can be answered & any issues can be explained & viewed first-hand.  


    If the customer or a customer-appointed representative cannot be present, the inspection will need to be re-scheduled.  In the case the inspection is not rescheduled &/or the business is not alerted no one will be present before our Technician arrives, a small fee will be charged for travel time to and from the appointment.

There is no mileage fee within a 20-mile radius of our Ellisville, MO showroom.  If your location is beyond 20 miles but within 100 miles, your service and/or delivery quote will include a modest milage fee (calculated transparently using the milage & our per mile fee) for the inbound and outbound trips.
